Lookbook: Ann Taylor Granite Suede Pumps and Accessories

I was determined to find a way to wear my bib necklace to work instead of letting it collect dust for special occasions. And I just got my Ann Taylor Suede Pumps in the mail so here is what I put together for work:
Top: Banana Republic Factory Button-Up- size XXSP (similar HERE)
Skirt: Bebe White SKirt- size 00 (similar HERE)
Necklace: Ann Taylor Bib Necklace (similar HERE and HERE)
Shoes: Ann Taylor Granite Suede Pumps- size 5 (sold HERE or in Porcini)

I was really hopeful for the Ann Taylor Suede Pumps but they are a bit too big BUT I love them so much that I am going to figure something out. Anyone else guilty of doing this? Trying to fit into something that is too big and keeping it because it’s just so pretty? I am thinking if I add some heel padding or foot petals, it will help. It’s still doable but loose (and slips). They are very high quality and very comfortable. If they were 1/4″ smaller- they would be perfect. So they definitely run bigger than your average size 5. The heel is just right and the padding inside makes it not as uncomfortable as most other pumps. I have my porcini’s coming too so that will be the same issue w/those but maybe just maybe I can make it work!!!

I got tons of compliments today at work for my necklace! I thought it would be TOO much for a business environment but it just peeked out from my collared shirt. Thanks for everyones tips and suggestions the other day!
I love this periwinkle color shirt which I have worn in a previous post but haven’t worn it with a white skirt yet.
Here is how to replicate this look:
F21 Bib Necklace (dirt cheap)

Here’s my poor attempt at another part in my house but there wasn’t enough light:(
Hope everyone has a good weekend! 🙂

  1. Ohh I love the necklace on you!!! The blouse is such a great color on you! I love the blue and white and pumps! Your outfits are always put together! You are stunning as always! 🙂

  2. I love the entire outfit! I love a nicely pressed button down. It makes me feel so professional! Express actually sells button downs that are cut like the one the model is wearing. I have a couple, and really like how fitted they are. (Well, I used to. I've had a few too many cupcakes since my corporate days! LOL!) Gorgeous necklace, too!

  3. This color combination is very fresh! The necklace really adds a nice touch to your outfit.

I went to Nordstrom Rack and decided to try on the pumps from your "bib necklace" post. I can't believe how well it fits! My feet are wide/short so in all shoes my feet are pinched in the front, flopping around in the back. I've never had a pair of shoes fit me so perfectly. I snatched up a Black Patent (not leather, unfortunately) pair right away.

  4. Very nice outfit you have put together. I love the color combination. Too bad about the shoes. They are definitely beautiful. I hope you can make them work

  5. @Sumo- I totally know what you mean! Retailers that carry petite lines should have real petite women so it's more accurate! It's very frustrating!!

@love.blue- YAY! I am so glad those pumps worked out for you! Isn't awesome how well they fit?? I have two pairs- the patent and reg. black..hehehehe

@Everyday Makeup (becky)- OMG I won??? This is soooooooo exciting!! I will email you right now with my info!

Thanks for all the other comments! You ladies are the best!!!

  6. I wish we could see more of that necklace in that outfit! I would suggest under the lapels so that it goes over the shirt but I understand that might be too conservative for some office environments. Anyway, you look very pretty and I love the colour combination in your ensemble: the blue and white look really sharp together and the accent of the charcoal pumps is great 🙂

    Happy Friday!
    Jen

  7. RP, I love your outfits! I've always been attracted to this type of style, even when I was a teenager. Gorgeous as always 🙂
