Apparently I seem to be in Summer mode because there has been a major heat wave lately. But you can still pair this dress with brown tights or even some slouchy brown boots to make it weather appropriate.
I played around with belt and no belt and with the belt definitely looks better. W/out the belt - the dress has no shape and makes me look like a box.
Since finding tiny belts is almost impossible, I have good luck with Steve Madden stretchy belts from Nordstrom Rack. Stretchy in the back but leather in the front buckle area. Fits nicely on the last hole (whew)!
Here's a pic of how it fits in the back. This dress is form fitting but not skin tight- which I like. I am sure hubby would prefer tighter but we won't go there...LOL
Obviously this is a fun and flirty date night dress and NOT for work.
Oh man, these heels are so insanely tall...I hardly wear them because I feel like I am on stilts! I had to literally brush off the dust that accumulated because I hardly wear these heels.
Before starting this blog, I used to wear really gigantic dresses that made me look preggy. Now that I am more conscious of fit- and with the persuasion of hubby, I am trying to wear more form fitting clothes.
I love the puffy ruched sleeves on this dress- I think thats what drew me to it. Well other than the fact that I need to get rid of my F21 gift cards.
I also bought this mauve sheath dress in XS from the Love 21 and its as if I don't learn my lesson. The XS's from Love 21 DO NOT fit petites! So don't even bother. This butterfly dress is from F21 so therefore the fit is much smaller.
I totally forgot to take a picture of this dress w/out the belt to show you what a big difference a belt can make. It totally changes the look and makes a huge difference! I am obsessed with belts! But they are so hard to come by.
I didn't have time to sort thru these photos so sorry for the slideshow of pictures:) I was at F21 this past weekend and tried on this red peacoat in small and it was super adorable but since I just got LOFT's wool swing coat, I had to pass.
I used to really hide my petite frame because I honestly didn't think there was any other choice. I love that I have met so many great fellow petites! I had no idea that the petite community was as large as it is! This is kind of random, but for the Holiday's I want to hold a special giveaway just to say thanks to everyone who takes the time to read, comment and support me!!!

Here is me and hubby on our way to dinner:) It took A LOT of convincing to get him to let me show this on my blog!! Hehehe I wanted to show the height difference and I am wearing 4.5" heels! My 5' to his 6'2"...good thing he loves my petiteness!
This is a very rare instance he isn't wearing a tie! :)
