Even though I just recently treated myself to a beige Summer flap which was revealed a little while ago but how on earth could I resist the Bloomie's 20% off sale? I don't live near a Bloomie's that has sells Chanel so I had to call around to see who had what I was looking for. And I quickly realized, that they are all not so friendly even though they work on commission! You'd think they would be extra nice but not the case. (thumbs down) However, I did manage to find a nice lady who was willing to put up with all my questions and concerns. I knew that I didn't need another medium flap or a smaller flap (already have) so I decided on the dark beige PST (Petite Shopper Tote) and lambskin WOC (same as Vicky from VickysFashion). So the drama started with when I tried to place my order over the phone after applying for the Bloomie's credit card. They first told me that it was NOT possible to make my purchase unless I was present in the store even though that was not what was told to me prior to opening the Bloomie's charge card. And because the charge card was so new, they had to make sure it was really me. I am grateful for the tight security but I wanted my way and I wanted it that day. So of course, I only had a limited time (2 days) to place my order to qualify for the 20% off right? So the first day was shot due to this issue. I had to then wait until the last day to place my order. This is after having to talk to mangers, manager of managers etc...it was very daunting! I was pretty much flipping out because I was NOT about to lose out on this sale! I knew it probably will be the last Chanel purchase for many years if ever so I had to get my discount.
Well being that I live in CA- the tax rate is 9.75% so needless to say, I wanted to save on the tax especially if I was buying TWO purses. So I asked Sydney of PetiteLittleGirl if it would be possible for me to ship to her and have her ship to me. I was elated when she said yes!! How awesome is she? She is so super sweet and I am forever grateful to her.
Dress: Banana Republic Erin Sheath dress- size 00P (buy here)
Vest: H & M lace vest- size XS (very similar here)
Shoes: Ann Taylor Perfect Patent Pumps- size 5 (similar here)
Purse: Chanel dark beige PST
Necklace: Peri Cameo pendant
I found the H & M lace vest in XS when I was back in the Midwest and was super excited. You can also see it on Jean from ExtraPetite. She looks amazing in it! I love the vintage-look of this vest is and how it can totally change an outfit like my blue BR sheath dress.
But....the package was supposed to arrive on a Friday and PLG said she was leaving town by 3:00! I was sick to my stomach and the package required a signature. So I called to try to re-route the pkg but that didn't work so the only option I had was to hope and pray the package arrived before she left. Unfortunately it didn't. And because of the package content and value, Bloomie's puts a restriction on re-routing. I was left with only one option and that was to have them hold it at a UPS and have Sydney pick it up on Monday when she got back. UPS would only allow her to pick it up at one specific location which was totally out of the way and far for her to drive. I felt so horrible about this. And here's the kicker- I was leaving town Tuesday morn back to the Midwest to see my family and was planning on wearing one of the purses there. Luckily, Sydney was able to pick up the package on Monday night and shipped it out on Tuesday morning straight to my family's house. I wasn't supposed to get it until Thursday but when I was out to lunch with my family, I tracked the package and it said it was being delivered that day and it was only Wednesday! So I rushed my family to get home hoping to catch the mailman. We got home and I saw the mailman and there wasn't a notice at the door so we all assumed that he hadn't gotten to the house yet. So I stood there waiting like a little kid at the front door. All of a sudden, the mailman or mail woman disappeared! Then my dad went to the mailbox and found the notice inside their mailbox! So I panicked and started dashing down the street in the FREEZING cold with no socks and big tennis shoes that didn't fit my feet chasing after the mail truck. I even had to ask the neighborhood kids if they saw the mail man and they said, oh that was like 10 minutes ago! I was like noooooo...my dreams slowly diminished as I walked with shoulders shrugged low back to my parent's house. I was devastated. I know I am OVER-DRAMATIC but hello...it's CHANEL!!!!!
So then I would have to wait one more sleepless night and pick it up tomorrow- which I was NOT about to do. My awesome dad said, lets go to the Post Office and maybe the driver came back and has your package. I said let's go! No hesitation on my part. We got there and luckily the little door/window was still open to pick up packages (even though the notice said they close at 5:30) and it was already 6:00.
I gave the man the ticket and he said, you are so lucky, my driver just got back. Let me go find your package. Minutes went by but felt like eternity. I watched him go in circles and rummaging through all kinds of bins full of boxes. He comes back and said let me go check his truck...I was okay Mister...I can wait all night if I have too (batted eyelashes). He smiled and said "Oh it must a be a really good package!" And a few minutes later, his hairy arms comes back carrying my very large package with 2 hidden treasures inside.
I love my dark beige PST! I try to make my Chanel's as practical as possible due to the amount of money on each bag. Being that I use my black GST daily, I know I will be able to switch off and use this one often. The leather on the PST is much softer than my black GST which I love. The color is a dark beige (much darker than my light beige Summer flap). See post here.

Dark Beige PST = $1600 plus 20% off = $1280 (NO SALES TAX)
Lambskin black WOC = $1575 plus 20% off = $1260 (NO SALES TAX)
Below is to show you the differences between the two beige colors of my previous Summer flap vs. the dark beige PST.
Because of Sydney from PetiteLittleGirl, I was able to save over $300 in sales tax! Thank you Sydney! You are THE BEST! What a wonderful community we have. I love that we have each other's backs:)
I do like my black lambskin WOC as well but the ONLY problem I have is that it's made in SPAIN!! All mine are either made in France or Italy (prefer Italy). I called the Chanel boutique where I bought it from and they said that they have been getting a TON of complaints and this is the FIRST time shipment they have had with SPAIN and definitely will be the last. I am definitely exchanging it for SURE. Just have to convince hubby to take me soon because it's super far away. And I don't know if it's just in my head but the lambskin is NOT as soft as it should be! SUSPECT!!! AND guess what else? It doesn't come with a freaking dust bag! You spend $1575 for a tiny purse/wallet on chain and it doesn't even come with a dust bag which probably cost pennies to produce. I was LIVID. Yet the half moon WOC which is $1375 comes with one. WTH or more like WTF? My light beige Summer flap was only $1500 and came with one. Their explanation? Because this is considered a "wallet" and only comes with a piece of felt even though the half moon is also a WOC.
Sorry for the extremely long post...just had to share!! :D
Do you like my new babies? Worth it at 20% off and no sales tax?
