Review: Callisto Wedge Sandals and Winners of Giveaways

Who doesn't love a comfortable pair of wedge sandals? After many attempts at buying flats and trying to search for a nice but cute pair of casual sandals to shop until I drop with, my search is some what over! I got tired of wearing the same pairs on the weekends and needed something else. I recently ordered 3 pairs and am so thrilled to do a review for you ladies! I have come to a conclusion that I cannot wear flats! No matter how bad I want to, my feet won't allow it! First up is the Callisto "Sunrise" wedge sandal in yellow. This was originally sold out in my size but then it popped back up while I was stalking the site and I quickly placed my order. I didn't think I would love it as much as the brown pair but oh boy...I do! Once I slipped my foot inside, it was like love right away!

Dress: Gap maxi dress- XSP (buy here)
Sandals: Callisto "Sunrise" wedge sandals - size 5 (buy here or diff yellow version)
Belt: H & M leather braided belt (recent)- size XS (similar here and here)

In case you are wondering what's up with this maxi dress, I only bought this dress to get free shipping because I had to place an order for a fellow Canadian reader. Just thought I would try it on before returning it. It's a no go for me. Super comfortable but not for me.
Likes: I have a small size 5 foot and these fit perfectly! The color yellow is not an obnoxious or loud yellow, it's very muted and neutral. The best part is, the wedge part of Callisto sandals is like AIR. I can't even describe in words how comfortable these are. Hands down the most comfortable sandals I have ever tried or owned! The quality is fantastic. They use Italian leather and manufacture in the US. The leather from my old knotted pairs as well as these new ones are  amazing. Super soft and very flexible, almost like molds to the shape of your foot. It doesn't restrict your feet because some sandals are either too narrow or the leather digs into your feet. I love the fact that it's a slide so there are no straps to mess up. Usually if there is a strap around my heel or ankle, it's usually too big or loose.

Dislikes: Nothing! Well okay maybe the price? The price is a bit steep for a casual sandal but it's definitely worth it because I will wear it to the ground!

Verdict: Love love love- keeping for sure! Highly recommend!!! And no I don't work for the company! :)

The above review is the same for the brown pair. I originally was going to keep these as well but now after writing this post, I think I will just keep the yellow ones:) And this LOFT twist strap dress (XXSP) fits really nicely but I only ordered it to get free shipping and then ended up really liking it. Great casual look and you can throw a blazer over it for casual Friday's.
The next pair which is the Callisto Gemma Sandal I was so excited about because it was the first really strappy pair I have seen Callisto make. It comes in 2 colors-nude and black. I bought the nude.

Likes:  I love the style and look of this sandal. It fulfills my strappy sandal craving and yet it's super comfortable because of the light weight of the wedge. And when I say lightweight- it's like air! The nude color is perfect and will match with everything. It's still super comfortable in the toe area and at the widest part of my foot.

Dislikes: It's too big in the back! And the leather is much harder than their usual and I am thinking it's due to the design and style. I am pretty sure it will soften up with some wear but around the heel is way too loose even on the very last hole:(

Verdict: Sadly returning. I would recommend these if you are a size 5.5 or up. They are still so cute and comfortable, just too big for me.  I am super bummed.
The winner of the MrRebates giveaway is Karri Haen and the winner of my Banana Republic necklace is Kileen Cheng! Please email me with your info! :) Congrats!

This is really random but I have been finding it super  hard to keep up with reading all my fave blogs, twitter and facebook. So if I'm not commenting on your blog doesn't mean I am not reading or supporting. Hopefully work will slow down with work soon so I can get back on track:) Just thought I'd throw it out there!
