Holiday Outfit Ideas

Yes it’s that time of year again, holiday parties and stuffing your belly with delicious food.  It’s my favorite time of the year.  If you have an upcoming  party or an event to go to and have no idea what to wear, here are a few outfits I put together.

If you are not a red fan, try a cobalt blue or maybe even a bright pink.

#2: Bold and Sparkly

Top: Banana Republic – size XXSP (buy here)
Blazer: Banana Republic {old} – size 00P (similar here)
Skirt: Arden B. – size XS (similar junior sizing)
Shoes: Christian Louboutin – size 35 (buy here)
Shopping this past weekend was miserable and extremely chaotic. I did manage to find this gold sequin skirt that fits perfectly. I brought it home to mull over. I have decided it’s too gold for me so if anyone is looking for a true gold sequin skirt that fits, let me know otherwise it’s going back this weekend.  I wish it was more of a blush/champagne color- it would be perfect!
#3: Neutral and Classy
HolidayNeutralOutfit
Sweater: H&M – size XS
Skirt: Zara TRF {review here} – size XS
Shoes: Christian Louboutin – size 35 (buy here)
If you are looking for something a little more toned down, sticking with a neutral palette is a great option. It’s still fun and sparkly yet classy.  This looks very similar to my last post but I swapped it out for this H&M sweater. This maybe the winner for my party this week!

Which outfit is your favorite?

  1. Thanks Angie! I just bought it yesterday for $49 plus 8.75% CA sales tax = $53.28 and maybe $2 for shipping…a total of $55? I can show you a copy of the receipt too 🙂

  2. Love all of these looks – but especially the bold and sparkly. That skirt is gorgeous! Do you happen to have the measurements for it?

  3. Nice outfits!!! I know you are returning the gold skirt (or selling) but I have to say that it really does look fabulous on you! It just lights up the look! : )

  4. i love ALL of them! too bad i live in new england and can't wear outfits like that. =(

  5. My favorite is the "neutral and classy". 🙂 I love the sequin skirt and and pretty cardigan together! I'm definitely using that for inspiration!

  6. The last one wins my vote… It's not as fun, and it's more wallflower than the others, but I think it's pretty and elegant. (Though, the more I look the more the "bold" look is growing on me!)

I was on the hunt for a sequin skirt after I saw Jean pair hers with a cardigan and I realized I NEEDED THAT IN MY LIFE. I fell in love with the Zara TRF one but boy it sold out quiiick! I personally prefer your Zara skirt to the J.Crew one, though I think the bold gold colour of the J.Crew and Arden B skirts pair gorgeously with darker hair… It makes me think of Belle. ^.^

P.s. Random, but I couldn't help but notice your lipstick in the "bold" look. I feel like it stands out because it's too muted; have you considered a brighter (maybe even glossy/shiny) red? I think it would look gorg on you.

  7. While I do love the cobalt and sparkly gold skirts, I do think the last Zara skirt suits you the best.

  8. I like that subdued sequined skirt, I think your last look is my favorite especially for an office type holiday party 🙂

  9. I you are asking for my opinion, # 1 is the winner for your party. That said, all of these looks are adorable. I am so envious of your wardrobe. Oh, and that gold skirt is fabulous but its uses are certainly minimal given the "boldness" of its color. You are probably right to prefer something a little more muted, suits your style much better.

  10. The fact that you continue to copy everything Jean does is shocking. But alas, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

  11. I like the sequined skirt outfits the best but that's possibly because I'm in a sparkly kind of mood 🙂 I'm actually working on making sequined cuffs that you could add to any long-sleeved shirt / sweater. The trick is finding a time when both kiddos are napping 🙂

  12. very cute Annie! I love them all but yes, the last outfit I think is the best one. I do love the gold sequin skirt too though, it looks fantastic on you!

  13. I love the first outfit (with the red skirt). Its very festive and classy, especially love the fur stole
