Fitting Room: New LOFT Arrivals and Sale Items

I haven't done a fitting room post for a long time because I never have time when I am shopping. It's always so busy and I'm always in a rush.  But yesterday, I had a few minutes and thought I'd pop into Loft and try a few things on for you! I'll start with some newer items and then work my way on to the sale items.
NEWER ITEMS:
gray top 1
This comes in 3 colors: tidle blue, black and this light gray. The fit is nice and I can see it tucked in a pencil skirt. I really like the pleated detail by the collar.
reddress2red drss 1
Petite Zip Pocket Sleeveless Dress in light passion red- 00P
I love the pretty and bright color but it clearly is huge. The concept and idea of this dress is cute and would look nice belted but didn't fit that great.
flower top 1
Sorry for the terrible iPhone pics but this top is actually super pretty and great for Spring and Summer. It fit really nicely so it'll be great once it goes on sale.
greenskirt
I don't have good luck with LOFT skirts for some reason. They never fit me and are always too big. I love the colors of this skirt and it would look great on someone a size or two up from me.
SALE ITEMS:
graydress3graydress4
Printed Sheath Dress- 00P
I couldn't find this online but it's the fit is too big anyway. I believe it was $69.99 plus 40% off= $41.99
Again, it would be great for someone 1 or 2 sizes up from me.
blue top 2blue top 1
I couldn't find the link to this top so it must be old. I wanted to try something on that I normally wouldn't even take a second look. It's a bit boxy for me but it would be great for someone who likes stripes and these type of tops.
mauvedress2 mauve dress 1
$69.99 plus 40% off = $41.99
IMG_4332
I actually attempted to buy this dress several weeks ago but then decided to return it and now it's on sale. The fit is decent but not perfect. I do however like the length and the colors are super pretty. I may wait to pick this up when it is much cheaper.
IMG_5089
I found this one and like it much better than my other turquoise ring. Although it may be a bit too much, it looks really nice when on your finger. I really wanted the bronze/gold one and lovely Vicky from VickysDailyFashion is going to look for it for me! She is so sweet!

The only thing I bought from Loft is this cropped scuba jacket in camel. I had to special order it in a 00P from a different store because my Loft didn't carry any petite jackets in this style. I had been watching it online but even at full price ($128), it was sold out right away in petite sizes which surprised me!  Jean twit pic'd it awhile ago and it fit her really well so it should fit me. It's currently on sale for $94.99 plus 40% off for a total of around $56. Still a bit spendy for this blazer but I love the color and the cropped style. Below is the tag for reference. The SA said there are still 00P's available in other states.

So I walked out of the mall with only one Loft blazer (on order) and one F21 ring...not bad right? I held back! YAY! Making progress :)

Which item is your favorite from this post?

***I added a bunch of petite-friendly items to my blog sale (finally). So please stop by and check it out. A lot of stuff is new and most of it has been only worn once or twice. I have tons of great accessories too! If you are looking for nice skirt suits, I have a TON of them for dirt cheap.  I will be adding more today:) Shop HERE! And make sure to click to the other pages on the very bottom to see more items.***

Recent Online Purchases

Just a quick and short post to let you know what I have bought recently online.  I keep telling myself to stop shopping but I just can't seem to get to that point....yet. LOL The sales are just too good!
Double Serge Pencil Skirt  in bronze ochre -size 00P (on sale HERE)
You can see this skirt on Jean and also on Kileen  in two different colors.  It looks great on her even tho she has to wear it below her natural waist. I believe several other petites picked this up as well. It's going to require some major alterations and a lot of money but it may be worth it since I have nothing like it.  You can get an additional 30% off on sale items with code: AYC93K

I have been eyeing and itching to get the Painter Cardigan but just never pulled the trigger. So finally I got it in olive moss and Ivory in XXS. I am praying it fits because it's final sale. Yikes!
After buying the Ann Taylor saddle brown pumps, I just had to get the perfect black patent pumps as well because the discounts were too good to pass up. Even though the Ann Taylor pumps don't fit me very well, my Porcini patent leather pumps are decent so I am hoping that these two will be okay on my tiny size 5! I was almost about to order the perfect linen pump and the perfect linen knot peep toe pumps but just refrained. They are so pretty!! It was hard to say no but I must practice self-control!

I am so anxious to get my Ann Taylor Factory Chiffon Ruffle and Petal Shells...I can hardly contain my excitement! They better arrive soon :) I seriously am going to stop shopping now...I just bought the LOFT petite rosette cami Vicky tweeted about and luckily I was able to respond in time!
I am REALLY curious about this Banana Republic whipstitch cardigan, comes in 3 colors and in XXSP. It's currently on sale for $49.99 plus 35% off with code BROSCAR35 for a total of $32.49. Worth it or no? Clearly I have been on the hunt for different colors of the Loft long cardigan...
What have you bought lately online?
P.S. I added 3 items to my blog sale HERE so check it out- all new and petite friendly items:) Have tons more but will take time to load them all...

Lookbook: Cashmere, Ruffles and My New Chanel Flap Purse

Yes the day is here....!!! Meet my new Chanel beige flap purse :)
IMG_4911
I am SO thrilled to reveal my new baby.... I fell in love with this because it's a cross between a WOC and a classic flap handbag. I knew ideally, I would never wear a WOC across my body (just not me) and wanted something smaller than my classic medium flap (in black). I called every Chanel Boutique in America and everyone was sold out. Luckily Niemen Marcus was able to track down the last one in Florida. I have been wanting a beige colored Chanel for awhile now but this color is very difficult to find.

Sweater: Vince cashmere cardigan- size XS (similar here)
Dress: Banana Republic Factory ruffle navy dress- size 00P (similar here)
Belt: Ann Taylor Porcni skinny belt- size Small (similar here)
Shoes: Ann Taylor Porcini Perfect Patent Pumps- size 5 (similar here)
Purse: Chanel beige flap (2010/2011 Cruise Collection)
Necklace: Pearls (gifted) (similar here)
IMG_4865
Here's a close-up of the dress so you can see the details and ruffles. I just love it! You can definitely still wear it w/lout a belt but I needed to break up the color and add some dimension. Not sure if you can tell but this belt is really big on me (I prefer the XS AT skinny belts but I had to settle for the small). I need to punch an extra hole or two so I am waiting to get my belt hole puncher.  Because the belt is too big, it doesn't sit where I wanted it to. I tried it outside of the cardi but that didn't work either because it's still too loose and slips up and down. Hopefully once I punch a hole or two, it will look much better!
IMG_4902
My new baby is from the 2010/2011 Cruise collection. I LOVE the fact that it looks like a regular classic flap but when you open it up, it's like a mini purse/wallet. And it's not as pricey as my medium double flap which retails for $3400.
IMG_4883
This purse is very versatile because you can dress it up by hiding the strap inside and carrying it like a clutch.
Measures: 9 x 5 x 2
IMG_4607
Here is the interior of the purse.
The color looks much lighter in the pics but it is a true beige and super pretty. I decided to go with lambskin but you have to be extra careful because it's much more delicate than calf-skin or caviar leather. I figured since I already have caviar and calf skin on my other two Chanel's, I had to have lambskin this time around:)
IMG_4898
The only complaint I have about this  BR dress is that it's VERY low cut. I have to wear a navy blue cami underneath when I wear it to work. But I can probably get away with it if I go out to dinner or on a date with hubby:) It's not a perfect fit (a bit wide in waist and hips) but the length is perfect and I don't think I need alterations. So for $40 for a cute dress, not bad right?
IMG_4933
Here it is w/the strap wrapped around once so you can carry it on your arm.
IMG_4833
I love it but know I will have to be extra careful with it. But I guess that's just the price I have to pay:)
I am sure you all have heard but Ann Taylor is having a shoe sale, $50 off plus free shipping and stackable with code EBATES30.  If you sign up for MrRebates HERE, you get 3% more off and we each get $5 instantly! I placed my order for these saddle brown pumps to replace my Aldo saddle brown's which are way too big for me. I was going to get my lizard pumps in pumice stone (been waiting forever) but Jean said they run bigger so I'll pass for now:(

Do you like my new Chanel?

Shopping Spree (UPDATE)

***Anita, hopefully you will read this- I am so sorry I didn't see your comment and the porcini belt is already sold BUT I have the perfect skinny lizard belt in pumice stone in XS avail (regular store and genuine leather). Megz- I have an extra BR gray dress in 00P for you- please email me for details:) ***

Oh boy, I really went overboard this past weekend! I am still recovering from yesterday. I don't even know where to start, there is so much to share! Let's start with Banana Republic factory.
IMG_4625
I was elated when I spotted the gray version of the famous BR tweed dress in 00P hanging there waiting for me to buy it. I didn't even try it on because it's exactly the same dress as the tweed so I knew it only needed the hem to be taken up. I don't know why it looks like there is a sheen to the fabric in the picture but it's a very pretty gray in person. I will be taking up the hem on this dress for sure.
br navy dress 3BR navy dress 1
I also found this navy blue dress with a cute ruffle front detail but they didn't have 00P so I ended up calling to place an order from a different store. Here is what the 0P looks like so just imagine it more fitted. The material is not all that great, but I love these type of dresses and I can see myself wearing a blazer or cardi over it with a belt. Let me know if anyone needs the tag. Shipping is $5 from outlet to your home- not bad considering outlets are usually far away. I was able to get it for $40 (60% off).
BR tweed suit
I also tried on this tweed skirt suit but the skirt was a bit big and the jacket wasn't cheap enough for me to pull the trigger but it fit really nicely. And it's actually super cute (better in person). I'll wait for a bigger sale and hope I can track down a 00P.
IMG_4668
Next up is LOFT factory. I found this super cute red velvet blazer in 00P on major clearance. I have nothing like it in my wardrobe so I figured, what the heck. I'll make it work somehow. I can always wear it as a jacket too. I picked up an extra one if anyone is interested for $25 plus exact ship.
IMG_4794
I also scored some accessories that are NOT outlet quality. I found out that it actually shipped from a regular LOFT store this past weekend so I bought a ton of them (possibly for future giveaway) and also will have some up for grabs.
IMG_4645
I am sure you all have heard the madness about the infamous Ann Taylor chiffon ruffle shell and the petal front ruffle shell when Jean tweeted about it on Saturday. I have been waiting for this since last year! When Kelly introduced the petal front shell, I was too late and only found the XSP in the same color but it was WAY too big so it got returned. I have been wanting this forever! So a HUGE thanks to Jean for letting us all know. I think every petite has picked this up via phone. I ordered every color (I got 6 colors except blk) immediately via phone except for black. And picked up the petal front shell in both winter white and pink. I happened to spot the black chiffon front ruffle tank at my local AT factory in an XXSP and was thrilled. It is super pretty in person so I bought that too. You can never have too many shells and it's PERFECT for me because I wear blazers and cardigans everyday to work and always am in need of pretty shells to go underneath.
IMG_4788
I also picked up these 3 belts in XS.  The snakeskin is genuine leather, the purple and porcini are not BUT they do hold up really well and you can't even tell they are not real leather.  My gray one I got back in Winter has been holding up really nicely.  I was so pumped when I saw the matching porcini belt that goes with my AT pumps so I couldn't resist. These are the only belts that somewhat fit w/out having to punch holes.
On the way back from the outlet stores, I stopped at Ann Taylor regular store and found the "genuine" leather porcini patent skinny belt on sale for $12!!!! It's a small but it actually is about the same size as the XS factory belt. (Kelly found this out too in her recent post). So now I have an extra porcini in XS if anyone is interested or else I will return it.
IMG_4659
And I picked up this cute super TINY and petite friendly red/orangish blazer in size 2 at H & M. This color scares me because it's so bold but the fit is so nice and it's a cropped style which I love and is very petite friendly:) Look how nice the sleeves  and everything fit..love it!
IMG_4721
I scored a really nice leather wallet at Barney's for $25 (I won't bore you with pictures but it's so soft and pretty) and hubby scored an Italian leather briefcase (reg. $1000) for $275. It actually came from the Barney's store just 2 days ago. And he treated himself to 3 suits (Brioni- reg. $5000- on sale for $350) and 2 pairs of Italian shoes at Saks outlet.

What did everyone else get?

Review: Steve Madden Flat Leather Boots (need help deciding)

Yes, I am still on the hunt for some flat leather boots. Nothing seems to be right. I have tried Banana Republic suede boots and even Cole Haan leather riding boots (on major sale in brown/black) and neither worked out. The Cole Haan liberty boots never made it to a post because it just wasn't even worth it- way to masculine and heavy for me. So on a whim, I decided to test these Steve Madden boots out for size.
IMG_4548
Jacket: Theory Khaki Blazer- size 00
Jeans: GAP Leggings in faded dark wash- size 00P (buy here)
Boots: Steve Madden Candence- size 5 (buy here)
FIT: I got a size 5 and it fits pretty nicely with socks. Still a bit roomy in the ankle area even with thick socks but definitely better fit than the Cole Haan Liberty boots. The shaft height is 15" and calf circumference is also 15". It's not as tall and large as most boots I have tried. The circumference is large enough to tuck in skinny jeans which I like.
IMG_4585
Style: The style is a slouchy pull-on leather boot. Has no zippers but a slit in the back top to make it easy to pull on and off.
Comfort: I haven't worn these out yet because I am still debating on whether or not to keep them. But from what I can tell just by walking around my house and how nice they feel when slipping my feet thru, it actually feels really comfortable.
IMG_4519IMG_4573
Material: The leather is actually super soft. I was quite shocked!
Color: The color is supposed to be a cognac but it's more of a really light beige? I was hoping for a rich cognac color. This was really disappointing to me. I wonder if the Steve Madden Intyce cognac color is better? I was debating between these two styles. Hum...
IMG_4602
Material: The leather is actually super soft. I was quite shocked!
Heel: There is 1/2" heel which is really nice because I'm not a big fan of completely flat shoes/boots. Even though there is a tiny heel, you can't tell and it's very easy to walk in.
Price: $99.95- OUCH. For Steve Madden's? A bit steep for me but I am willing to pay it if it was the right cognac color.
VERDICT: I love everything except the color. It seems a bit light.

What do you think? Keep or return?

Here I tried tucking it in my winter white Theory skirt in 00 (pre-alterations). Keep this lace cardi or return?
peachoatmeal
Here is Mossimo boyfriend cardigan in peach and oatmeal - size XS
Looks decent right? Well it's because I have the sleeves scunched up and it looks okay with it styled like this, but tucked in is terrible! Very bulky and I couldn't even take a picture- it was that bad.
263x719peach 2
Here is the cardigan in it's true form. Super big and bulky all the way around. I do LOVE the peach color for Spring and Summer.
green green 2
Here is the boyfriend cardigan in forest green- size XS
Again, it looks decent buttoned up and possibly worn with a skirt but it's just not right. It's not nearly as fitted as the LOFT long cardigan I love.bluegray
Here is the blue and gray one in XS. When I first tried on the gray one, I thought it was a mistake and they had sent me the women's instead of the junior's but it's junior's!
Wedge
I normally wear a size 5 but needed extra stuff to add to my cart to get the additonal 20% off my order but these are definitely going back. It's hard to tell but they are too big for me, when I walk, my whole ankle is loose and my feet slide up and down the sandal. Plus these are a bit hard core/bulky for me, not my style. Cute but just not for me.
My other portion of my order hasn't come but I am hoping this version of the boyfriend cardigan with rolled tab sleeves (so cute) will work out much better. I got in XS berry and aqua color. Also comes in white and black too! Since I push my sleeves up anyway- this is a GREAT style for me. I know for a fact that the Dolce Vita nude wedge sandals will be going back as well once I get it. This target haul- not so great:(

Hope everyone who goes shopping this weekend finds great deals!
Do I keep any of the cardigans?
