Shoes: Ann Taylor – size 5 (this year’s version here or adorable snakeskin)
Likes: The pleated detail is so pretty and feminine. The belize blue is gorgeous.
Dislikes: The fit is generous and the cap sleeves are huge. It looks okay tucked in from the front but the back was really bad.
Verdict: I like it but don’t love the fit. It’s up for grabs if anyone is interested or it’s going back ($26.99 + tax + exact ship to U.S only)
Sheer Blouse in Blush Dots – size XS
Belt: Ann Taylor – size XS (similar here)
Likes: This was really the only item that I had my eye on and was shocked to have found 2! The extra one is already on it’s way to another blogger. I love the soft blush color and adorable polka-dots. It’s a very feminine blouse that I know with some alterations, it would look amazing.
Dislikes: The sizing is gigantic. The sleeves are super wide and long. I cuffed them up just to make them look decent. The blouse will require sliming and sleeve alterations. Is it really worth it? Still haven’t decided.
Verdict: Not sure. Is it worth tailoring? I decided after writing this that it’s much too large. I promised a Facebook fan she could have this but if she doesn’t end up wanting it, it will be up for grabs.
What are your thoughts on both blouses? I wasn’t too impressed with the collection. I tried on several more items and everything ran really big. It was quite disappointing. I haven't seen the line myself being in Toronto and all, but from what I've seen on your blog and others, I have to say I'm kind of disappointed with the collection. There's no wow-factor. Like you said, like it, don't love it.

thanks for your review! The blue is stunning on you. I am sad to see that the clothing is cut too large. Unfortunately this is what happens too frequently with Target's designer lines. They are either too generous, or way too small and ill-fitting. It's a dis-service to women who have great taste and are searching for affordable ways to be ahead of the curve. Target should know that fit is an important element of style.
Totally agree with you – I checked out the collection at my local store and didn't end up purchasing anything because I just wasn't impressed. The sizing was SO generous and the quality wasn't all that amazing. So disappointed! On another note, I DO really like that second blouse – the color is so soft and pretty.
The collection did run large compared to previous designer collaboration collections (which were junior-sized), I got the pink blouse with polka dots too but will probably keep it. Thank you for the reviews!
If the other Fan doesn't take the Blush blouse I would definitely take it.
I have the same Belize Blue top in the same size and am unsure how to style it. But now I have a great idea!
I actually like that blue top better on you than I like the pink one! The blue is a gorgeous colour for you, and I don't mind the "blousy" too-loose fit with a narrow bottom like you are wearing. But I definitely see the issue with the sleeves on BOTH tops…why are they so huge?! It's too bad they don't have a downsize in some of the Target designer lines, 'cause I'd love to own a few of those pieces.

Color looks so beautiful, but I agree they are big on you. I'm a little bigger than you and they are still a little big on me. I think you wear them so well though. They don't look big on you in pics!

Thanks for the review, Annie! I agree with Mary-Irene – that clear sky blue is indeed stunning on you! It's a shame that the blouse runs so big. Non-juniors sizing at Target is impossible. I am tempted to request to buy it from you – I'm definitely bigger than you (5'4", 110 lbs) but I'm fairly small up top- narrow shoulders, 32" bust, skinny arms- and I'm afraid it might look a little oversized on me, too. What do you think?

I Think it still maybe too big on you too Annabelle. The armholes are big so you will have to wear a cami underneath so you don't see your bra.

sizing is ridiculously huge. not even worth owning any of it doesn't fit. def not worth alterations, IMO. the blue top fits Kendi though and she looks wonderful in it. the woman is also 5'9 so these clothes are made for her. lucky!

That blue color looks AMAZING with your skin tone Annie! I know what you mean though. I bought the pleated front dress only to return it unworn two days later. I'm thinking for forty dollars I can actually buy a well fitting dress cut for my size……and seriously, isn't this the worst designer collection at Target regarding fit and quality? I was very disappointed.
The colors are beautiful and the detailing is so feminine. I like them but if they don't fit the way you want, you won't wear them.
