I’m not sure if you noticed but I’ve been loving J.Crew lately. Between their amazing clothes and constant sales, I can’t seem to stay away. I’ve been loving their schoolboy blazers and like the fact that I don’t have to tailor the sleeves. At first, I thought they were slightly too big but after wearing them frequently, I think they fit pretty well. I’m used to this cut since most of my blazers are cropped and more fitted so it took awhile getting used to it but I really like them. The only downside that I’ve noticed are the wrinkly arms – not sure how to combat this problem.
I’ve also been trying to wear some of my old clothes lately. This Banana Republic ruffle button-up shirt was saved from the blog sale pile. I scored it a couple years ago, shrank it and forgot about it until recently. See me wearing this outfit with camel pumps to work here. I know I keep promising a blog sale and hopefully it will happen before Summer.
I switched out the work pumps for my trusty BP runway cognac boots for a casual weekend look. I can’t get enough of these boots. I’ve never owned a more comfortable pair. I can walk all day in them and my feet have never been happier. The calf circumference is still not as narrow as I would like – especially with bare legs but I can live with it for the comfort. I usually wear them with tucked in jeans but wanted to try making it a bit more versatile and pairing it with a skirt. See a full review here.
This burgundy Bebe skirt that was gifted to me by a dear friend has been a closet favorite this year. I wish Bebe would revert back to the old days when their quality and style were a bit more classier. I remember when they used to have suiting that was very nice quality and even some Italian wool. Now I find their clothes to be too trendy/club-ish and targets a totally different demographic.

Individual pieces aside, the color combination is very nice. I was probably expecting to see one of your skin-tone pumps to go with this dress, but I was a little surprised to see your boots instead (unless it was too cold for pumps). This outfit is still very nice.

My poor mother got me a gift card to Bebe for Christmas and I was afraid I wouldn’t find anything there that I liked, but they actually have a bunch of nice blouses on the floor right now…. although some are definitely see through, lol.

I like the whole outfit- especially with the boots–and I love the color pairings too. Now from 1 J Crew blazer addict to another—because I can’t make a decision—-the dark grape or the vibrant fuschia? which color should I keep? Which one is more wearable and versatile do you think? I still haven’t decided which is more versatile year round (I live in in Chicago)—-help me decide!

Annie–yes, still deciding–a little ridiculous I must admit…but I am leaning towards the pink….I spent way too much $$ during the holidays and I want to make sure I wear them..those after the holidays bills are rolling in….I have also fallen prey to J Crew’s sales —I don’t recall them being this way ever in recent years!

I wasn’t sure how to work them into my wardrobe, but this post gives me some great ideas. I also ordered the same cognac boots, I can’t wait to see how they fit! I know, it was a roller coaster with Nordstrom. Had them in my cart, happy I found my size, went to buy, then they were sold out. Found them again in my size, ordered, then order was cancelled – this happened twice. They said they were unable to fulfill the orders due to inventory. Just saw a tracking number for my current order and they are on their way home to me! Hope they look as cute on me as they do on you 🙂
