These pictures were taken several weeks ago (didn’t like them) and wasn’t planning on posting them but I figured I’d share anyways.  The brown v-neck sweater I am wearing is the one I got for only $2.99 at Forever 21. It’s 100% cotton and fits really nicely.

CasualWeekend02On another note, I happen to stop by an Ann Taylor factory (miracle) late last night on the way home and found this cutie:
ATFactoryPolkadotDress
Ann Taylor factory navy pleated polkadot a-line dress – size 00P
Style #299375 (was $119 after the 50% off promo $59.99
I was even able to get a price adjustment for my polkadot shorts from this post (I only got 25% last weekend). FYI – if it’s within 7 days of your full price purchase and it’s gone further on sale, they will happily adjust the price for you and you don’t even have to bring the item in. I only had the receipt and they still did it.  Ann Taylor factory is running 50% off full priced items and 40% off clearance (as of yesterday).  This dress fits me perfectly (5′ tall, 92 lbs). It’s 100% cotton and fully lined. Love the yellow dot accents, pleated detail and waist tie.  The price is still a bit high for this dress but I loved it too much to pass it up. It didn’t look like much on the hanger but once you put it on, it’s easy to fall in love 🙂  If you don’t live near an Ann Taylor factory store (U.S residents), you can call and have it shipped directly to you for $7.95 or if you have an AT credit card, the shipping is waived. Hope you had a great weekend!

  1. Casual, classy, and cool. Annie, I adore the coat and the handbag. The polka dot blouse and the jeans are also stylish along with the vest. The sunglasses and pumps are also very cool to go with this outfit. Finally, that polka dot dress looks great.

  2. I’m glad you shared this outfit. There’s nothing wrong with it (comfy casual) and I really love the J.Crew coat on you. Your curls are so cute the way they fell in the first picture! 🙂 Glad you were able to make it back and get a price adjustment on last week’s purchases. The AT polka dot dress is gorgeous on you and I hope you get lots of wear out of it.

    • I was about to just trash all these photos for this outfit but needed a filler post so I said what the heck…hehehe

I am so so glad I got price adjustments – can’t believe I was able to go to a diff factory. I love the AT dress and already wore it..LOL

  3. I love the pop of color of the bag with the outfit. I always buy neutral tones so I really want to incorporate more color into my wardrobe, especially for the spring and summer. I also love the dress, poka dots always had sucha a feminine element. I never wear dresses and I really want to start. Great post!

  5. Hi Annie, I love the casual look and the polka dot dress! Everything looks great on you! I am new to your blog and had recently found the blogs for Jean and Wendy as well. The three of you have the best petite blogs that I have seen and believe me I have seen them all over the last month. Your photos and information that you give is great. I love your hand bags and was hoping that you would do a blog on your collection.

I just recently purchased my first Chanel Classic Flap Maxi in Lambskin and silver hardware and was very afraid to wear it until yesterday. I just wanted to protect from the world! I really want to purchase another Chanel this month, but I am not sure which one I should get. I love the GST in beige, but am unsure if I should get it in Caviar or Lambskin. Any suggestions?

    Thank you,

    Sherri

    • Hi Sherri! Thanks for your kind words. I have both lambskin and caviar and much prefer caviar. Lambskin is obviously amazing but so hard to care for. I hardly want to use mine because it scratches and stains easily. Caviar is more durable and resistant to wear and tear. I won’t be purchasing anymore lambskin again 🙁

      • Hi Annie, thank you for replying so quickly! You are so right about the Lambskin, it is so amazing! I took a look at them side by side today and I really love the lambskin, but I don’t want to baby sit it. I think I am going to purchase the caviar. Thanks for your help on this matter and I can’t wait to see what your next outfit of the day will be. I wish you did it everyday! Take care, Sherri

  6. i like the casual outfit. gives the minkoff a chance to shine against the neutral palette.
