I’ve been looking for a simple ivory a-line dress. I fell in love with this Burberry gathered waist silk cotton dress on Pinterest.
As much as I adore this dress, I am not ready to shell out that much money and it doesn’t even come with the belt. I do however love that it has pockets and sleeves. I’m not sure how Burberry sizing runs but would love to at least try it on.
My requirements are:
– prefer ivory/cream over stark white
– no exposed zippers
– sleeve preferred but okay with no sleeves
– flared/a-line shape
– under $100
– prefer cotton/silk blend but will settle for polyester
– fully lined
– scoop neckline, no thin straps or v-necks (must be able to wear a normal bra)
This Express Textured flared dress was an option but I ruled it out because it looked cheap and I probably could find a similar one at F21 for half the price. This dress would be cute in an ivory textured ponte material. I’m really hoping H&M Trend will come out with a cute flared dress in similar material like my white textured a-line skirt. I ended up ordering the AE pleated dress in 00 to try even though the reviews are mixed. I will keep my eye out for the naturally enchanting dress to be available (love the bow belt). If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!
Since I’ve been on an a-line dress/skirt kick, I’m super excited to get this on a barrel roll skirt. Jess first showed me the dress version and I thought the print was so adorable. I was pretty excited when I saw the skirt in the same print. I’ve been mulling it over for awhile now but decided to finally order it. I hope it fits!

Great picks Annie! I love white dresses and it’s hard not to keep looking even though I have a couple. I really like the details of the Naturally enchanting dress as well as the belt. I’m so sad that the airplane print skirt and dress are both out of stock. I never did pull the trigger so I hope someone returns it so I can try.
