Loft Friends & Family Sale + Quick Reviews

I haven’t given Loft much love lately so I thought I would share some of my picks for their Friends and Family sale – use code: FRIENDS. As much as I love Loft, their sizing can be frustrating for me and tends to run bigger than Ann Taylor.

I also love this striped pleated dress (recommended by Jess) and this layered cap sleeve henley (three colors) but will hold off for now.

The eyelash lace is so gorgeous and is very reminiscent of the Forever 21 blush top I love so much.  It fits decent and does run on the smaller side but still was loose around the bust area.  I’m not a big fan of the top part where it curves. I wish it had straps/sleeves.  It was nice quality and was not see-through. Verdict – return.

Ark & Co. Lovely lace dress – size small

I have no words for this dress – it’s completely see-through. I was very disappointed. It has no shape (needs a belt) and the quality was sub par. Verdict: return.

Asos herringbone blush flared skirt – size US2 (regular)

I wanted to love this skirt but something wasn’t right. The waist fit (12″ across) and the length was perfect on someone my height.  This is regular sizing and not petites so I was pleasantly surprised. It’s unlined and seems itchy. The flared shape didn’t do it for me. Verdict: return.

J.Crew Emmaleigh dress in bright seaside – size 00P
Blazer: H&M (recent)
Shoes: Ferragamo Tina bow pumps
Necklace: Banana Republic

I’ve been wanting this mint dress and one finally popped up in my size. The emmaleigh dress fits me really nicely and is an easy dress to wear to work. Love and would recommend. And it has pockets to boot!

I wasn’t in the market for a white pencil skirt since I have my old Ann Taylor linen and Theory skirts but neither of which I love.  The linen one from a couple years ago (tried to shrink) is very wrinkle prone and doesn’t fit me as well as I like. The Theory one is unlined and a bit on the shorter side.
I had some rewards that expired last week and was forced to use it or I’d lose them.  There wasn’t anything that caught my eye so I got this textured cotton skirt and foldover nappa leather clutch.  The skirt runs tiny! The waist is 11 3/4″ laying flat. It fits me perfectly and I love it! It’s 98% cotton so it will be easy to care for. I love the textured cotton material – it adds a bit of thickness so it’s not see through. The length hits me right at my knees and is fully lined. I highly recommend it if you are in the market for a white pencil skirt. It’s not stark white, more of an eggshell/ivory color.
On an unrelated fashion note, my heart goes out to all the families and people affected by the Boston tragedy.  I hope everyone is staying safe. Have a great weekend!

  1. Thanks Annie! I’ll let you know how the striped dress fits. 🙂 I’m glad you’ve decided to return the ASOS flared skirt. The Emmaleigh dress fits you very well and I like it in all the different colors you purchased so far. I adore white so of course I’m a fan of the white/ivory/cream suit set (they look like they belong together even though they are separates).

  2. Love the white suit in the last pic!
Plus, those Ferragamo pumps are to die for!

  3. Even your try outs are inspiring 🙂

    Enjoy you’re weekend! **
