Petite Review: Banana Republic Gray Suit in 00p & Ann Taylor Ruffle Shell in XXS

Here is the Banana Republic gray suit in 00p with an Ann Taylor ruffle shell. The ruffle shell in XXS was surprisingly a bit too big for me. The sides and bottom were rather wide - making tucking in quite a challenge. The material is made out of silk and cotton blend but it felt more like a bandaid gauze type of material- not my favorite. The look/concept of the ruffles underneath the blazer- I do love but I wish the material was a bit softer. It was my FIRST Ann Taylor purchase so I was a bit hesitant.....but here it is......!
Blazer: Banana Republic gray Blazer in 00p (similar here in 00p)
Skirt: Banana Republic pencil skirt in 00p (similar here in 00p)
Top: Ann Taylor Ruffle Shell in XXS (and comes in 3 colors)
Pumps: Victoria Secret gray flannel pump in size 5 (similar here here and dirt cheap)
As you can see on the bottom where I tucked in the top, it's very bunchy- didn't like that at all. I like smooth finishes...

Full Ensemble...I just LOVE the ruffle shell- so feminine and pretty!

Verdict: Keeping! Only because I am a sucker for ruffles!!!! Not sure if I love the fit of the petite XXS of Ann Taylor but maybe it was just this particular shell. I wish it ran a bit smaller and more fitted.....
I only wish it was a shell where you could actually take off the blazer and still have the outfit look complete but with a top not fitting propertly- I'll have to keep the blazer on at all times.
