Shoe Review: Christian Louboutins Pump’s- Is It Petite Feet Friendly?

Well the day is finally here……..my first pair of Christian Louboutin’s are here! It was backordered until September but it came early!!!!  If you have been a reader since I started this blog, you know it’s almost impossible for me to find pumps that fit properly w/out slipping. I decided to give these a shot despite the high sticker price….*Drum Roll*

Click below for my review and to see if this is petite feet friendly!

I was super nervous to pull the trigger and spend this much money on a pair of pumps but since I have worn my black Aldo pumps into the ground, I figured instead of getting more cheapie ones that kill my feet, why not invest in one that is of high quality and hopefully will not slip!

I am a sucker for packaging and was shocked the box wasn’t prettier…yes it’s the small things that get me…I love pretty packaging- especially when you are spending this type of money.
But when I opened up the box and saw this:
I was no longer upset about the boring brown box:) I love shoe pouches and the mini extra heel pouch SOLD ME! LOL
Ah…the infamous RED LEATHER SOLES- soooooo gorgeous. And I am a total sucker for anything make in Italy- ever since my 3 week honeymoon there, I love everything Italian!!!
I didn’t even want to take the pumps out of the box- they are so pretty but had to make sure they fit!! When I slipped my foot in one of the pumps, it was like HEAVEN.
Here is my review:
FIT/SIZING: For any petite ladies who have trouble finding pumps that don’t slip, well I am here to tell you, the size 35 (US size 5) fit perfectly w/no slippage. No need for any added padding or foot petals! I walked around in my house (since they are new- I could). The sizing I would say must run a tiny bit smaller than most 5’s because I have never had this luck! Even my Aldo size 5’s have some slippage.
QUALITY: Made in Italy…must I say more? The leather is like unlike any of my leather shoes. It’s truly unbelievable. I have to say it is my first pair of pumps that is this expensive and this well made.
HEEL HEIGHT: Heel height is 3.5″ which is the perfect height. Most of my Aldo pumps are 4″ + so this felt very comfortable. I decided on the regular leather vs. the patent ones because of the heel heigh. Patent ones were 4″. I think I made a smart decision!
SLIPPAGE?: I can’t believe I am going to say this but NO slippage! This alone is worth the money! I am a true size 5 (can’t fit into a 4 or 4.5) but have realized not all size 5’s are not treated equal so anytime I find a small 5- it’s worth any amount!
VERDICT:Keeping, keeping, keeping and want MORE, MORE, MORE! My next mission is to get these in the stone color…..but I may have to refrain and wait just a bit longer!!!
There were so many different styles to choose from:
I ultimately decided on the Simple 100’s regular black ones instead of the patent simple 100’s for the classic heel and classic leather w/rounded toe. Since I wear pumps for work every single day, I figured this would be a good investment for me (FINALLY). I hope I will have the courage to break these in soon…I am quite nervous- I don’t want to ruin them!!! Did I make the right decision going w/the Simple 100’s?

  1. Both the Simple 100s and the 85s look adorable! Great purchase! 😀 I think the reason this fit you so well is because leather stretches. After more wear, you'll probably feel it loosen up a bit. I've been lusting over Louboutins for a while and I can't wait to purchase my first pair!!

  2. my my are they beautiful! i have never tried a pair of louboutins before. i can't wait to see you wear them.

  3. it's good that they fit so well! i would love to be able to afford a pair of these babies some day – the classic red soles just reel me in! i find that i'm a much smaller 5 than most so i always have ugly gaps in my heels grrr

  4. Barkordered until September?? WOW!

I know what you mean about packaging.. after all isn't that why every girl loves receiving a gift from Tiffany's? 😉

I'm glad these fit you like a glove! I have the exact same problem as you with size 5 ~ from every single brand I've tried a size 5 is big and my feet always slip out with insole and heel grip! And 3.5" is the perfect heel height! I absolutely think you made the right decision with these!

  5. Wow! I'm so jealous. I try not to look at nice shoes because they're totally out of my budget..

But this really is an investment. If you wear heels daily, they're totally worth it!

  6. Wow those are beatiful. I'd like to see you wearing them. Sometimes shoes have a total different look when they are on people feet. What a gorgeous looking shoes. No double about it. You're one lucky girl 🙂 Enjoy!

  7. Oh my they are so gorgeous, with black and red contrast. These shoes are for you, sexy! I want to see you wearing them.

  8. beautiful! so jealous! i have the same problem too with pumps–they all slip off my heel, but i'm a size 6. size 5.5 squish my toes 🙁

  9. YAY! Love the simple pumps, they are my favorite of the Louboutin styles that are actually comfortable. The New Simple pumps are fab too. The platform ones definitely aren't as comfortable. The arch is a bit more defined.

    You made a great choice!

I feel the same way about Louboutin boxes. I have mine all stacked up next to my other designer shoe boxes and the Louboutin ones are the least stylish and even the box itself is a bit thin compared to the boxes that Miu Miu or Prada shoes come in.

  10. OMG! The simple ones look fantastic! So classic. So understated. So elegant! I think this is going to be on my wishlist as soon as I start making money in a few months. I don't have feet as small as yours, but slippage is always a problem with my narrow ankles. Hopefully, I'll have good luck like you!

  11. These pumps look amazing! Congrats. I have gone on a mission to try on pumps last year and haven't bought a single pair. I own a couple of pumps that either hurt me feet too much or slips like crazy. I eventually decided (I think that was 3 months ago) that I just can't wear pumps. I see you guys rocking these beautiful pumps, and I'm so jealous. I'm glad these pumps work for you. Can't wait to see them on you.

  12. I bought the patent black shoes. Even if the height is 4+ it feels very comfortable. I wanted to buy the normal black shoes with 3.5 height, but I was afraid it would be too low….
