Review: Ann Taylor Summer Sandals

I have been looking for two types of sandals, dressy and casual. I am super particular when it comes to sandals. Buying pumps is easy, I just have to make sure they are small enough and fit but sandals, there are so many crazy styles and trends out right now. I went a little bit sandal crazy during the Ann Taylor 40% off sale. Up first are the holly gladiator sandals in limelight:

Holly Gladitator heels in limelight- size 5
Likes: I loved the color because it's so unique and it's the same color as my limelight belt and cardigan that I adore. The heel height is 3 1/2" which is perfect. It is well constructed and definitely nice quality. The fit is fairly nice, but there is some room near my toes. When I first put them on, I thought it was a perfect fit since there was no heel gap but then upon closer look, there was too much space in front of my toes.

Dislikes: The double straps are a pain for lazy people like me. I'm not 100% sure what I would wear this with but I can see myself pairing it with a navy blue pleated skirt from H & M (need to find soon).

Price: $198 with 40% off= $118 (still pricey)

Verdict: Undecided...return?

Flora Oxford Wedge- size 5
Likes: I had high hopes for this one because it's almost a flat sandal which means I could take it on vacations or wear it shopping on the weekends. I love the color and they are so comfortable! The tiny wedge heel is perfect since my feet don't do well with flat shoes.

Dislikes: Theses sandals fit really nicely everywhere except the ankle strap part. I don't know if they are supposed to be that loose. You can't really tell from the pics above but something was off. I'm not too keen on the ankle strap cutting off my already very short legs.

Price: $178 with 40% off $106 (still pricey)

Verdict: Return

Jasmine Strappy Kitten Heel- size 5 (similar here)

Likes: I love the color of these because they almost match my skin tone. So even though they have the similar ankle strap style, it doesn't cut off my legs as much. They are super comfortable and loving the lower heel.

Dislikes: At first glance, I thought these were a definite return but after taking these photos and walking around the house, there's not much I don't like. The only downside is the practicality, would I really wear these enough to get my money's worth? I definitely wouldn't wear these to work so I just need to make sure I can wear them often enough.

Price: $99 with 40% off = $59.99

Verdict: Torn...possibly keep?

I also got these gladiator sandals in 2 different colors but the size 5 is way too big for me. And the quality was really poor. And these were a flop as well. So I guess my search continues! No more Aldo sandals for me! The prices are attractive but not only is the fit inconsistent, the quality is sub-par.

Which ones do you think I should keep and return?
