I got this BB Dakota tweed suit last winter and haven’t given it enough love. The blazer was purchased from a reader (thanks R.L) and the skirt I found on Ideeli. The entire suit was about $55- not bad for a thick tweed suit. I initially fell in love with it because it was so reminiscent of a Chanel tweed suit with the black velvet trim and chain accent welt pockets on the jacket.

The jacket is shaped very boxy and narrow when worn alone but as a set, there is just something I love about it.  I ended up splurging and taking up the sleeves (they were extremely long) and had to pay extra to keep the velvet trim.  I’m glad I spent the extra money because the velvet trim is really what makes the jacket stand out.  The skirt (size 0) is a bit loose but can be held up with a belt.

  5. Love the combo of mustard and fuchsia together – looks fab against the tweed backdrop! I'm curious to see what the jacket looks like when zipped up. I recently found an ivory corduroy blazer in my closet (from 10 yrs ago!) and was thrilled that it was it still fit 🙂
