The weather is finally cold enough for layers and coats. It’s been cloudy and raining which makes blog photos that much more difficult. I got lucky this day when the rain stopped and the sun peeked out for a quick second. I rushed to go snap off a few pictures. The lighting may be a bit off and the quality isn’t the best but at least I have a some to share 🙂

This coat was a major score from my dear friend and blogger Vicky. She somehow managed to get this for around $50 when J.Crew was having their coat sale last Winter. Since she’s on the East coast, she was able to snag this in my size and color and sent it to me. By the time I wake up (which is extremely early), the small sizes and good deals are usually gone.

These Ann Taylor pumps run a 1/2 size smaller than the perfect leather pumps. I don’t have to put insoles in and they fit really nicely with no slippage or gap in the back. For the ladies that covet Ann Taylor pumps but can’t fit into the  size 5’s, I would try these out (as reference – I am a 4.5-5). I can fit into the patent perfect pumps but the regular perfect leather pumps are much too big (like my saddle brown/cognac ones).  The matching exotic leather belt I got for only $8 when I was visiting my family earlier this year. It ended up matching these pumps perfectly. My sister and I both got a bunch of cute belts on final sale. I absolutely love Ann Taylor belts.

I probably need a polka dot intervention. I can’t seem to get enough. Just when I think I am done buying them, I find more items that I like. Does anyone else feel this way?

Like I have mentioned before, I love the color navy. It’s my “black” and it seems to go with everything.  I have definitely gotten my $17 out of this J.Crew crinkle city mini. This season, I am coveting navy, camel and winter white.
What colors are you coveting this season?

  1. I’m so glad you like the bracelet. 😉 Love polka dots on polka dots but I’ve yet to try it myself! It’s too cold to wear skirts without tights here and I always have a challenge figuring out what color tights to wear with navy.

Can’t believe the good deal you got on the coat (Vicky is so sweet)! I noticed that if you can wait until January then you can score a good deal on a coat for the remainder of winter/the following year (assuming the smaller sizes don’t run out).

    I’m coveting neutrals this winter.

    • Thanks Jess! I wear my dark gray H&M tights with navy and it goes really nicely with navy. I love my bracelet and wear it all the time – thank you so much again! Yes Vicky is a doll and so grateful she scored this for me! I am loving neutrals and blush too!

    • LOL Thanks Kimberly! I think you would like the Target dot chambray I just got. I will let you know how it is when I get it. I can totally see you in it:)

  3. Blue… my favorite color! You’re beautifully blue here. Perhaps my favorite element is the royal blue coat. From an artistic standpoint, I like how the neutral pink handbag of yours match the kind of pale pink colors in this setting. And as usual, you look totally charming- smiling pretty while looking lovely.

  5. You can never have too many dots. Lovely pairing with the different sizes! Wow, you get ready for photos fast when the sun piques! In Nov and this month, I had a few weekends open for family photos and each week, something weather-related happened. I just scrapped the whole thing b/c to get everyone ready in a jiffy ain’t easy, let alone myself ;). Looking great in navy! Glad you are getting your wear out of the cute crinkle mini!

  7. I love navy too, but seem to have the same trouble Jess has in finding the right combo of tights and boots that go with it! Hopefully the Lady Day coat will be marked down in January! I would LOVE that!

    • Have you tried gray tights? I wear my dark gray ones from H&M with my navy skirts and it seems to work pretty well. I hope J.Crew has another coat sale again this year too:)
