Who’s ready for Spring? I certainly am. It’s been in the 70’s and I couldn’t help but bust out some strappy heels and take my new dress for a spin.  I haven’t been able to wear my Forever 21 polkadot sheath (see review post) because I’m waiting for it to be tailored. It’s a bit more complex for me to try to do it on my own.  I don’t want to risk ruining it since I love it so much – even if it’s from Forever 21.

Express has an exact dupe of my Zara heels I got last year on clearance (size 6-10 available).  The only difference are the straps. Mine has one ankle strap and two foot straps but other than that it’s almost identical.  It’s the same color and even has the contrast piping around the straps and heel cap.

I adore this dress so much and very happy I got it. The splash of yellow polkadots, pleated detail and a-line style make it different than most of my dresses.  I’m going to try to switch out the matching waist tie for a brown belt and see how that looks.

On a shopping note, Saks is running a gift card promotion with code MAR2013.  It’s a good time to pick up a Ferragamo belt (see post hereor my Ferragamo Tina bow pumps (see post here), or designer purse/shoes that you’ve been coveting.

Also, J.Crew is having 30% off final sale items with code: GOODNEWS
Here are my picks:
Janey calf hair flats
Tipped boy shirt (in white with black trim)
Neon tweed skirt
Noir tweed dress (regular sizes only)
Invitation clutch in glitter
Double breasted schoolboy blazer in navy
Schoolboy blazer in white linen
Spearmint tweed jacket (regular sizes only)
I’m tempted to get the calf hair leopard flats (love the small heel) but I’m trying to be good and pass on this sale.

  1. Let’s get one thing straight right away- that polka dot dress is just fabulous. This is very much a stylish outfit as Winter transitions into Spring. Those sandals are very nice to compliment the rest of your outfit. As I saw the finer details of the dress, I noticed the yellow polka dots along with white polka dots. So with Spring coming up, it’s safe to say that your beauty has blossomed very nicely with this dress and those sandals. Good one, Annie!

  2. I love the dress on you and how you you paired with strappy heels that compliments the yellow polkadots. I actually like the matching bow tied around the waist. It makes the sweetest bow but it could also be attributed to your bow tying skills. The pleats in the front are another nice detail. 🙂

Glad you passed on the leopard flats. I’m not a huge fan of the gold tone mini heel. Makes it more trendy than classic.

  3. The dress is very cute and perfect for spring. Almost didn’t realize some of the polka dots were yellow. Please post what it looks like with a different belt, maybe a thicker belt – I’m curious how it might look.
