After being convinced by so many of ladies, I’ve decided to keep this dress.  I still can’t get over the price tag but will just make it a point to wear it as often as possible.  I have a love/hate relationship with Anthropologie. They rarely offer free shipping (minimum purchase is $175+) and the good sales are far and few between.  Most stores don’t carry petites in-stores which makes it difficult for me to avoid having to order and then return. Their sizing is very inconsistent due to all the different brands/vendors that they carry.

Nonetheless, I’m loving the way this dress fits. It’s completely different than any other dresses I own.  It’s fun and bold but still classy enough to wear to work.  Even though the prices at Anthropologie is much higher than I prefer to spend, they have a lot of unique pieces.  I like that they offer petite sizing which gives us shorter gals another option when shopping.

Some other dresses I think are great options for petites are:
Anthropologie Petite Dresses
Grisaille hourglass dress
 Lacebloom dress (very Kate Spade-esque)
Romana dress
Paned hourglass column dress
If you are in need of a navy blue lace dress, the one I reviewed here is a great option too.
Do you shop at Anthropologie?

  2. Am glad you decided to keep the dress Annie. It’s extremely flattering on you. Definitely one of the go-to pieces for many occasions. Have fun with it 🙂

  3. I love this dress on you. I’ve been reading your blog religiously but never left a comment before! You are my favorite petite-blogger. Great taste & style, and you post often!! 🙂 Keep up the great work X

  4. You look absolutely stunning in this dress Annie! I’m so glad it’s a keeper. I like the blush combination here but I also loved the dress with your navy pumps too (and it would also look great paired with one of your Chanel bags). There are so many options/pairings with the colorblocking in this dress! I’m sad this dress is sold out but I hope it pops back so that I can try it on for size. I never really shopped at Anthropologie because they run bigger in the regular sizing but I’ll have to give their petites a chance. I can only hope I look have as good as you do. <3

  5. I’m SO glad you kept it!!! It is the perfect fit and absolutely gorgeous!! I’ll have to save my pennies for this one 😉

  6. I love this dress on you– the design is really unique! I find that the petite sizing at Anthro can be hit or miss so I’m glad that you found a dress that worked out for you. Maybe I’ll give them another try, I’ve been eyeing a sheath on their site! BTW I received the BR sloan pants the other day and they fit pretty well, I recommend trying them 🙂

  7. There is a great deal of color blocking with this dress. I like the dress, but I think the color blocking could have been done much better and styled better. Maybe even with a better set of colors. No complaints about the pumps and the handbag. As usual, you have a pretty smile and a lovely hairstyle.

  8. I agree with the love/hate on anthropologie…especially when it comes to their sizing…I have had such bad luck lately with online shopping and sizing…:-(
