Striped Peplum Dress + Sequins (plus fitting room reviews)

Hi everyone! Happy hump day! I can’t believe it’s already August. This Summer seems to be going by super fast. I recently got this striped peplum dress (can’t find it online yet) for only $24.95. It’s from the “divided” collection which is pretty much the juniors section. Sizes tend to run smaller and cut much narrower. There wasn’t a size 2 available but when I saw the 4,  it looked unusually tiny so I decided to try it on. I couldn’t believe how small this dress is! I wouldn’t even be able to fit in a size 2. The 4 is comparable to a 00P.

This is a very fitted dress and has no stretch. I would recommend sizing up. It’s a great dress for vacation, weekends and date nights – definitely not work appropriate. There’s an exposed zipper in the back that isn’t the best quality but you get what you pay for. The top of my bra peeks out in the back so you may consider wearing a lower cut bra to avoid this issue. Here are some other H&M recent finds:

It’s hard to think about sweaters during Summer but I love this one! It fits me perfectly w/out being too “cropped”. The sleeves are long but everything else fits nicely. I wore it with a tulle skirt recently and it looks fantastic. The material is cotton and pretty decent quality for only $14.95. Would recommend.

I’m in love with this dotted jacquard weave blouse. The bow is already attached and tied so you don’t have to fuss with it. It also comes in white which I’m considering exchanging the navy.

I also got this dotted ruffle blouse but the sleeves are very wide and long. Still debating if it’s worth alterations.
